Girl’s Brigade Fundraising 2025
An event with Purpose and Passion
The Girl's Brigade (GB) Annual Fundraising Event is to raise funding for GB activities to develop the girls in character and leadership. It's conducted at the sponsoring Church annually with donations, support, and encouragement from members.
This year's GB Fundraising Event was conducted successfully at Bukit Batok Presbyterian Church on Sunday, 24th Sept 2025. The girls were very enthusiastic in their fundraising effort and also enjoyed the Sunday School class with special items organized by the teachers. BB/GB Chaplain, Michael stated that it was truly an enriching experience for the GB to develop confidence during their social interactions with church members.
The GB teacher who gathered the reflections from the girls, mentioned, “the girls’ found fundraising was challenging and felt quite shy when speaking to strangers. However, the girls were happy that the uncles and aunties from church were very kind and generous and they received donations whenever they made a request. GB girls enjoyed a fun and meaningful experience during their time there.”
Volunteers who assisted with the event noticed that, despite the fact that many of the girls were not church goers, they enjoyed the Sunday School session. They overcame their initial shyness to answer questions in the quiz and were very happy to receive the gifts for their participation. They also felt that our church members had been very generous with their donations, and some of them even line up to donate and took time to chat with the girls and encouraged them too.
