Koh Chao rui
Preacher
Chao Rui is a first-generation Christian. He accepted Jesus Christ at the age of 21, shortly after his friend brought him to a Christmas outreach event. After being awarded a government health science scholarship, he did his internship stints at several cancer treatment centers and hospitals in Singapore. He then spent a gap year engaging in missions work in a Southeast Asian country. It was then he first received the call to enter full-time ministry in 2010.

In pursuit of his calling, the next ten years saw him working in two church-affiliated and non-profit organisations, where he gained invaluable Christian ministry and corporate management skills.
His experience spanned across missions, outreach, Boys’ Brigade, children, and seniors’ ministries. He also served as national coordinator for an islandwide project under Celebrate Christmas in Singapore for three years, reaching out to children from under-privileged backgrounds.
He and his family came to BBPC in 2017, where he subsequently served as a volunteer in the Christian Education-Library ministry and then as a Deacon in the Leadership Academy ministry. In 2020, he resigned from his management position at his workplace to embark on theological training.

Chao Rui holds a Master of Divinity from Trinity Theological College. He strongly believes in bridging the Church, community and cultures. He also has a penchant for leadership, management, and spiritual retreats. He now serves as the Support Pastor for Youths, Young Adults, Missions and Community Outreach at BBPC.

Chao Rui is married to Wing Man and God has blessed them with three young children. In his spare time, he enjoys going for nature walks, listening to Mandopop, cooking, and reading a good theological book.
