Prayer
We pray because Jesus always prays
1 Timothy 2:1
First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for everyone.
Our Lord Jesus prayed an intercessory prayer for all believers in John 17 moments before He was arrested on the night of His crucifixion. Jesus is always praying to God the Father when He was on earth. He is God the Son, yet He prays to communicate with God the Father frequently. Hence, He says, “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.” (John 5:30)

We should do likewise as believers of Jesus Christ by taking all our concerns to the Lord in prayers instead of being anxious. The Bible tells us “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

Prayer is an effective remedy for energizing ourselves.
